Description: Ocotal Beach Resort is a small, luxurious hideaway where visitors relax and enjoy the marvels of the Pacific Ocean in year-round summer weather. Ocotal was totally remodelled and renovated in 1999, and the new Caracol Snack bar on the beach was added. Ocotal is the perfect place to just relax and enjoy the quiet, easy-going pace of this remote area. The hotel�s bilingual staff is eager to show their friendly Costa Rican hospitality. The resort can be described as a combination of a tropical adventure�s beauty and excitement with a first-class hotel�s comfort and personalised service.

	Location: Ocotal Beach is calm and sandy, about 1/3 mile long and ideal for swimming and beach activities. Many visitors come here for the world-class sport fishing, exciting scuba diving and surfing. The hotel is only 2 miles from the fishing village and vacation centre of Playas del Coco.

	Hotel Facilities: Three swimming pools are located in different areas of the hotel. A lighted hard-surface tennis court is found near the beach, by the snack shop. The lobby and restaurant sit atop a knoll surrounded by water on three sides. Ocotal�s third swimming pool, just below, is regarded as one of Costa Rica�s most picturesque spots. �Father Rooster Bar & Grill� is at the opposite end of Ocotal Beach. This renovated turn-of-the-century ranch house provides a relaxed, bathing-suit-and-bare-foot atmosphere for drinks and informal dining. It�s also a great place for dancing and having a good time.

	Recommended Activities: Staff can arrange a variety of tours for national parks, white-water rafting, boat trips, canopy tours and local cultural attractions.
